Making the biggest splash in the Kuala Lumpur rooftop bar scene lately is newcomer Marini’s on 57. Opened in September 2012, the venue employs a novel three-in-one concept to entertain different occasions. Guests can start their evening in the lounge, which has a full-service bar, including a selection of single-malt whiskies and an extensive cigar collection. The bar sports dark leathers and deep reds, the signature color palette of the venue. The outdoor terrace gives guests the first peak of the iconic towers. Since Marini’s is housed adjacent to the towers, this rooftop spot gives you the most detailed view of the scalloped façade. Marini’s offers a varied selection of cocktails from tropical and fruity pours, to sour and herby sips. The 57 Sour is a house signature with Scottish martini whiskey, Earl-Grey-infused scotch, and tamarind-lemon juice. New drinks pop up on the menu every month and on Wednesdays for ladies night. Beyond the terrace bar lies the dining room with a humbling expanse of metropolitan Kuala Lumpur on view. Head Chef Federico Michieletto combines his years of experience serving the Malaysian market and his Italian background to create inventive, photogenic dishes that are pushing the limits of fine dining in Kuala Lumpur.
